The Root Cause Revealed
We all want answers when it comes to our health. We want to know why, we want to know how, and most importantly, we want to know what to do about it. To boil it down into a sentence, all chronic diseases and symptoms are rooted in chronic inflammation. Low-grade, systemic inflammation is at the center of the spiderweb, and from there, slowly, over time, a myriad of symptoms start to arise over time.
Yet inflammation is so sneaky; this is because we most often can’t feel chronic inflammation in the way we can feel acute inflammation (think pain, heat, redness, swelling). A smoldering fire below the surface is quiet for months, years, even decades, yet it continues to brew. Combine that with it being relatively challenging to measure inflammation aside from a few various typical markers, most often our doctors don’t order the labs that help us gauge whether we have inflammation going on under the hood, so we are left guessing.
I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Kyle Sampson, a local Naturopathic Doctor on the Restore Lab podcast, to talk about all things inflammation! This is a must-listen episode and chock full of takeaways for you all.
Access the full inflammation conversation with Dr. Kyle Sampson on Youtube, or Spotify to learn more about getting to the root of inflammation, and how to begin healing.
Discussed within the podcast episode:
- How and why chronic inflammation is at the root of most diseases
- Surprising symptoms that reveal inflammation is going on behind the scenes (such as skin issues and panic attacks)
- He tells us the most common food triggers that are bothersome and exactly the steps for where to start right away to unravel your own
- Why food allergies/food sensitivities are more prominent in modern day
- He explains the differences between food allergy, food sensitivity, food intolerances and how each impacts your intake of those foods in different ways.
A Solution
My favorite topic to work with clients on is how to reduce inflammation though food and lifestyle changes, since there are so many things that can be done to quench inflammation and restore good health! So I created a step-by-step structured plan since we must go back to the root in order to heal.
