Not Your Average Routine

If we want different results, we have to be willing to take different actions. See how shaking up your usual routine can help catalyze real changes for real results.

Have you already tried the things you thought would work to improve energy, perhaps lose weight, or improve your health, all without the results you had hoped? More often than not, a sluggish liver and/or gut dysfunction are upstream issues that have a variety of seemingly unrelated downstream symptoms over time.

When there is trouble in paradise in the gut and liver, the ever-incoming influx of environmental toxins can get trapped, recirculated, and stored rather than processed and removed from the body. The good news is that we can provide targeted nutritional support, and give the body what it needs to thrive again.

If we want different results, we have to be willing to take different actions.

Taking a break from our usual routines, allows the body a digestive rest, time for healing to occur in the gut, as well as the time to learn a food-first approach to supporting whole body health.

If you’re craving change, but need guidance, a plan of attack, and cheerleading to keep you motivated, a group setting could be just the thing. Our 6-Week Not Your Average Detox, begins next Sunday, May 25th.

What makes this different than what we often assume a ‘detox’ looks like?

  1. No restricting calories. Aside from just 4 days of the whole 6 weeks, there are no counting calories, and no major restriction (though guided elimination, yes).
  2. Focus on adding in rather than taking out. We don’t like being told we can’t have something we love. It’s human nature to want what we can’t have. So here, I try to focus on what we can and will be having, which is a ton!
  3. You’ll be eating real meals. Aside from those 4 days during Week 4, you’ll be eating delicious, full, whole food meals. We’re actually going for more flavor here, and it’s going to be tasty.
  4. You won’t be spending a fortune. The beauty about group programs, is that you can get a lot of bang for your buck. Group programs cost less than 1:1 sessions and you’ll still get a great foundation in functional medicine. While recommended for optimal benefit, all supplements are optional.
  5. You can modify to fit your life. It’s kind of like the board games where you “choose your own adventure”. I give you the structure, the options, and you make it your own, so it works for you! There are options to “level up” to optimize, or you can keep it basic and simple bare bones. You do you!
  6. Fully evidence-based. I use the principles of nutritional biochemistry for detoxification and biotransformation, and scientific evidence for how to eliminate toxins, as the backbone for this entire program.
  7. You won’t be in it alone. I’ve done the 10-day detox that this is built around, and it wasn’t easy! That’s why I’ve tweaked and modified and added and subtracted, to make this doable for the average person. The likelihood for success is driven by group support, encouragement, and I’ll guide you through it all.

Hear from those who have completed the 6-Week Not Your Average Detox:

  • “If you want to feel energized and understand the why, then this is the program for you! I felt incredible results and now have that knowledge for a lifetime"!”
  • -Mike R.
  • “Sara’s explanations of the why were were doing things were key. Once I understood the reason for making certain changes in my diet, I was much more motivated to try them, and then to stick with them”.
  • -Jessica
  • “This detox was exactly what I needed to restore balance in my health and life. I went from feeling bored with cooking, to being excited about each meal. The 4-week elimination and reintroduction of gluten and dairy helped me recognize specific effects they have on my body. I would recommend this to anyone!”
